Mirage

Mirage, the final day performance by nsd graduates was based on kalidasa's  "ritusambhara"....it was a depiction of various seasons as seen from kalidasa's view in contrast to the present scenario with respect to the situation created by armed forces in North-east India..it was directed towards the hardships people are facing and that life today is not just about merriment, singing and dancing..many ppl hav lost their lives due to the atrocities of some soldiers who misuse the special powers bestowed upon them for the purpose of maintaining order in those areas..Irom Sharmila ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irom_Chanu_Sharmila ) is one such activist who is continuing her struggle in the hope that this act would be repealed....

only time will tell - jeffrey archer

just finished reading "only time will tell" and it would an understatement to call it a novel!! well mr. jeffrey has always been a fav but with this book he certainly has invaded new territories which i must say had me spell bound!! it is a part of the Clifton Chronicles which span over for about 100 yrs, where each part ("only time will tell" being the first) holds an account of 20 yrs..this one is about the life of a certain Harry Clifton and basically revolves around two families the Cliftons and the Barringtons..though i would admit the way the book ended left me disappointed and asking for more..so as my curiosity got the better of me i googled to find that it's sequel has been titled "the sins of the father" and wouldn't be released until the next year..so if u are an avid reader or if u want to be one then u myt as well give this one a go..also a must read "paths of glory" by the same author..

y do ppl write a blog neway?? haha..i started coz a dear one suggested dat i go public with my art work and anothr reason were the tiresome wat's ups!! :P so now whenever friends cum up wid dat ques. my answer is read my blog :D..
hmm cuming to today's activities..saw a play called  "papa laden"..it was a comedy (well they claimed so! ) but i didn't enjoy it..firstly because it was performed in gibberish, literally! and secondly it was a small play and i was late! :P other than that it was a day was lyk ne othr..

happened to see a play called "Tota Bola"..the above play is the hindi adaptation of a bengali play "jokumarswami"..it was about the bengali landlords in medieval times and of course the miserable condition of women under their regime..
it was indeed a great experience watching ppl my age perform so brilliantly on such sensitive issue as this..

hello to all readers,
since this is the first time i hav taken upon myself to write a blog i'l confess to not being very gud at it..
though i hope in due time i'll be able to do justice to it i.e. if the zeal lasts :P..all the above and below shown works are few among the many that i have made over these years..some might not involve as much time and art as the others but i like to experiment and try to make things mostly out of waste..a luk is all it takes to notice that there is a wide variety of material that has gone into their making..from plaster of paris to curtain hangers..this might not be sumthing very extraordinary or helpful in the long run but it gives me immense joy and so i share it wid u.. :)
